Spartacist rising 1919

Communists lead by Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht tried to take over Berlin

Badly organised and easily crushed by Freikorps.

The leaders were murdered by freikorps.

One murderer fled and was never proecuted, the other served a light sentence.

The Kapp Putsch 1920

Freikorps lead by Kapp marched into Berlin and declared a new state.

Ebert did not have the support of the army and so organised a general strike.

Kapp fled

The others were never punished.
