the nature of breach - the reasonable man

the reasonable man is the ordianry person performing the particular task: he is expected to perform it reasonably competently.

the factors affect are:

any specail characteristics of the defendants - in Wells v Cooper (1954) the standard of care required is of the reasonably competent person doing the job in question.here a man doing DIY was expected to reach the standard of a reasonably competent professional doing the job.
