Qu 2 - Explain how you prepared for your piece of

I prepared for Gwen and Gwen by doing acting activities:

  • Facial expressions = Scared Gwen is, anxious she is when Gwen II appears.
  • Gestures = Nervous Gwen
  • Projecting my voice = American accent, Stuttered my voice cause apprehensive.
  • Articulating my words = Heard, Gwen is timid and quiet
  • Stance = Portray my character cause Gwen is agitated
  • Practising my movement = Remember the spacing I can use and where character can go.
  • Research into my character = Sense of characters thoughts, feeling and emotions
  • Role playing = Improvise Gwen and helps understand the character more.
  • Hot seating = Answer questions about Gwen
  • Thought tracking = What the character is thinking, helping me with actions
  • Miming = Actions I could portray
  • Specifically by Practicing lines = Doing American accent

Qu 3 - Analyse how practical skills improved durin

I improved on during the rehearsal process

  • Directions that were being given,
  • learning lines efficiently = Productive fluidity instead of being prompted.
  • Blocking = Improved, used a sofa + old fashioned phone
  • Acting = Feeling how the character is described as.
  • Staying in character = Researched the character, gestures, movement+stance
  • Rehearsing frequently = Remember the piece
  • Performing to others
  • Body language = Gwen is fearful, facial expressions distressed
  • Research into schizophrenia.
  • specifically, Projection of my voice cause quiet
  • Articulate = Sustain American accent throughout rehearsing but progress
  • Practically Gestures + Stance = Gwen is nervous and apprehensive + body language was enclosed, Gwen wasn't confident

Qu 4 - Evaluate how successful contribution was to

  • Performance of piece = Good cause didnt forget lines + prompt cause the piece wasn't interuppted
  • Actions = faced towards audience cause not expressive if back was towards them.
  • Could of faced audience better cause on angles.
  • Facial expressions + body language = good although shown face clearer sometimes covered
  • Variety of space very well cause right cues
  • I could project more and articulating cause wasnt as clear
  • Phone meant to ring but didnt
  • Overall went well = how we produced the play from our understanding
