Chromosomes in the nuclei of cells contain DNA, which contain genetic information. Sections of this DNA, called Genes, code for specific proteins that do specific functions.
DNA:
- Has a Double Helix structure
- Is linked by a series of cmplimentary base pairs joined together by weak hydrogen bonds
- Sugars and Phosphates form the strands of DNA
- Adenine (A) pairs with Thymine (T)
- Guanine (G) pairs with Cytosine (C)
