Plant Cell

Plant Cell features

*Most(but not all) plant cells contain what is highlighted.

  • A Cell wall - to support and strengthen the cell.
  • A Cell membrane - controls what comes in and out of the cell.
  • A Nucleus - contains the genetic information.
  • Mitochondria - where most energy is released during respiration.
  • Cytoplasm - liquid get where most chemical reactions take place.
  • Ribosomes - where protein synthesis occurs.
  • Chloroplasts- absorbs light energy to make food.
  • A Permanent vacuole - filled with cell sap.
