1) remoteness: damage has to be reasonably foreseeable to be legally compensated Slipper v BBC.

2) size of awards: Rantzen v Mirror and Elton John v Mirror. 

New powers under the Defamation Act S12 DA 13- power of court to give a summary of its judgement to be published. 

S13 DA 13- order to remove the statement or cease distribution.
