PENCILS

Graphite:

  • hard pencils H to 9H progressively more clay & less graphite

PENS AND MARKER PENS (pt1)

Technical Pens:

  • fragile
  • interchangable
  • tubular steel nibs (0.13-2.0mm)
  • supplied by refillable cartridges
  • ink flows due to gravity by capillary action providing consistent ink flow
  • ..giving precise line
  • USES: detailed art work technical drawing where accuracy & precision is important

Ballpoint Pens:

  • ink is transfered by nylon, ceramic, steel or tungstun carbide ball
  • USES: handwriting

Plastic Tip Pens:

  • network of fine channels feeds the plastic nib producing accurate line widths
  • USES: handwriting, drawing, sketching

Fibre Tip Pens:

  • nib is constructed from nylon or vinyl fibres bonded in resin to enhance durability
  • USES: general rendering, fine nibs as techinical pens, handwriting

Fountain Pens:

  • fine channel feeds a metal nib producing a variety of lines, widths & shapes
  • USES: handwriting, calligraphy

Markers:

1) spirit - quick drying

2) water - inexpensive

  • chisel, bullet, round, square, fine, brush point
  • felt, fibre, nylon or fine nibs
  • availibale in a wide range of colours
  • USES: genral rendering, rapid design concepts, presentation drawings
