Something immense, terrifying and beautiful. Often a feeling caused by nature.

Dracula - "As idle as a painted ship upon a painted ocean." Terror mixed with beauty and awe

Chapter 1: "There were dark, rolling clouds overhead, and in the air, the oppressive sense of thunder."

Dorian Gray: Aesthetic sense -  Dorian is sublimely beautiful, his beauty is greater than any mans. His realisation of this and his obsession become his downfall.

The Revenant

The Revenant: One that returns after death / long absense.

Dracula: Jonathan is at The Counts castle for months and is terrified there - he finally returns to Mina. His past at the castle returns to haunt him.

Dracula / the three sisters are undead - they have returned after death.

Lucy returns from death as a vampire.

Dorian Gray: Dominant concept - Dorian can't escape his past sins.
