The Tehran Conference - November 1943

Agreements:

  • Britain and France were to open a second front in France in May 1944.
  • The United Nations was to be set up.
  • An area of Poland was to be given to the Soviet Union.

Disagreements:

  • Stalin was frustrated with the West as they took longer to open the second front.
  • Churchill was suspicious of Stalin's motives in eastern Europe.
