Cold War

Grand Alliance

Big Three - Britain, USA and USSR

Tehran and Yalta - Europe's future

Tehran  - 1943 - Way to defeat Nazis. In addition to this, what happens to Europe and Germany.

Britain and USA had different thinking compared to USSR. A little bit of tension.

USSR could claim a "sphere of influence" in Eastern Europe. Soviet policies and ideas could be created.

Good Relationship :)

Yalta - 1945 - Free elections can be held. But USA and Britain thought of this as lots of political parties competing for votes. USSR thought of this as communist parties should run elections as they truly represented the people.

UN replaces League of Nations

Tensions high as ****. Roosevelt died, Truman replaced him. Truman was much more suspicious and less willingly to compromise.

Communism would control state control of industry and agriculture.

USA cared more about private enterprise.

USA had many political parties. USSR had one.

USSR wanted to rule the world. USA were like WTF.

USSR were scared of USA because they did not want Eastern Europe to be influenced by USA.
