chromatography:
chromatography is a separation technique.
It works on the principle that mixtures can be seperated if it is dissolved in a solvent.
it works by passing over these two different phases:
- the mobile phase carries the soluble mixture. the more soluable the components in the mobile phase the faster it moves.
- the stationary phase, the components in the mixture are attracted to it. the more affinity the components within the solution are the slower it moves through seperating it.
