Male condom- 98% effective. It means sperm is prevented from entering the vagina.

Female condom- 95% effective and it works the same as the male condom.

Diaphragm/cap- Is 92-96% effective. It prevents the sperm from meeting the egg.

I.U.D-Intrauterine device- 98-99% effective. It prevents implantation of fertalised egg.

I.U.S- Intrauterine system- 99% effective. It is progestogen which is slowly released preventing the spem and egg to meet.

Combined pill- 99% effective. It prevents the ovaries from producing eggs.

Mini pill- 99% effective. It makes it harder for sperm to enter the uterus.

Contraceptive implant- 99% effective. It prevents sperm meeting/implanting egg.

Contraceptive injection- 99% effective. It makes it difficult for sperm to enter the uterus and for fertalised egg to implant.
