Cells

• Plant and animal cells have similarities and differences
• Plant cells usually have everything that the animal cells have and more

Human/animal cells:

• Nucleus- contains genetic information
• Cytoplasm-gel like substance where most chemical reactions happen&enzymes that control these reactions
• Cell membrane-holds the cell together and controls what goes in and out
• Mitochondira-where most respiration reactions happen-releases energy for the cell to work
• Ribosomes-where proteins are made in the cell

Plant cells:

• Rigid cell wall-made of cellulose, supports the cell and strengthens it
• Permanent vacuole-contains cell sap (weak sugar and salts solution)
• Chloroplasts-where photosynthesis occurs which makes the plant's food. They contain a green substance called chlorophyll
