Bounds - General

Ex. Person's Weight = 62kg

Lower bound = 61.5kg Upper bound = 62.5kg -> 62.49999... is the same as 62.5

Ex. Weight of a car = 2400kg

To 2sf... Lower bound = 2350kg Upper bound = 2450kg

To 3sf... Lower bound = 2395kg Upper bound = 2405kg

Calculating Bounds

Adding -> To find the highest amount = upper bound + upper bound

To find the lowest amount = lower bound + lower bound

Subtracting -> To find the highest amount = upper bound - lower bound

To find the lowest amount = lower bound - upper bound

Multiplying -> To find the highest amount = upper bound x upper bound

To find the lowest amount = lower bound x lower bound

Dividing -> To find the highest amount = upper bound/lower bound

To find the lowest amount = lower bound/upper bound
