Body Temperature.

The energy loss and energy gain fro your body is needed to balance your body temperature.Energy is transferred from the body to the tissues when it reaches the cooler parts.

Controlling body temperature requires...

1.Temperature receptors in the skin to detect the external temperature.

2.Temperature receptors in the brain to measure the temperature of the blood.

3.The brain which acts as a processing centre, to receive imformation from the temperature receptors, responding by triggering the effectors.

4.Effectors (Sweat glands and the muscles) to carry out the automatic response.

If your body temperature is too high, heat needs to be transferred to the environment. This is done by sweating, since evaporation from the skin requires heat energy from the body.
