A query is a question asked of a database to find some data.

These are used to compare the criteria you set:

< is used to select all those less than

> is used to select all those more than .... 

= is used to select equal to ...

NOT is used to select all those that are not equal to...

OR is used to select alternative criteria at the same time
AND is used to select more than one criterion at the same time

This is a field that contains data that is unique. All the records that have this field have different data stored in this field.

is when an item such as a record ca be accessed directly without having to search through all the others.

all the items or records have to be searched one by one until the one needed is found.

is a means of carrying out a calculation using references to the contents of other cells.

this is copying of the contents of one cell into the other cells.

A margin is a part of the page that is not used for printing.

the part of hte pages in a book that cannot be used by printing because of the binding.

A spreadsheet is a software package used for displaying and manipulating numbers.

a sort of a database puts the data into a specific order.

describes the data that you are looking for.

In a one-to-one relationship one 'item' is linked to only one other item.

In a one-to-many relationship one 'items' is linked to more than one other item.

In a many-to-many relationship many 'items' are linked to more than one other item.
