In the devised peice of ' Blackhurst House' i was an actor playing the role of Alice , my peice of acting was about the woman in black cursing the twin girls in the house. the period of the peice is the victorian era, they style is heightened realism and the genre was gothic horror , the performance space was the harry crooke theatre with a end on configuration, the target audience for the peice was adults as it is gothic horror which may be unsuitable for younger viewers, the sound effects was gothic horror soundtrack and the  lighting effects were a blue steely general wash with haze to make ghostly effects with gauze to make it seem like a decrepid old house, i also had a victorian dress to fit in with the victorian era.

problems with scene...

i was not realistic when i said 'Arabella this isn’t funny anymore ' so i used..... when i was trying to find my sister

i was not effective when i acted my fear when i said ' let me go' so i used.... to show i was trying to escape my father and find my sister

rehersal techniques

emotion memory - remembering a time in your past relavent to what you are trying to convey and you think of the memory to make your acting more realistic.

magic if - imagining how you would act in the scenario.

this improved my acting by...

making it more realistic and fit the style of heightened realism         H2T

making it more realistic of fitting the genre of gothic horror.
