Animal and Plant Cells

Most cells have similar structures which include:

Animal Cell

  • A nucleus- Controls cell activity
  • Cytoplasm- where most chemical reactions happen
  • Cell Membrane- Controls what comes in and what goes out of the cell.
  • Mitochondria- energy is relesed during aerobic respiration

Plant Cells

  • Cell wall- made of cellulose for support
  • Chloroplasts- consists of Chlorophyll for photosynthesis.
  • Permenant vacuole-  Contains cell sap.
