Hormones, Nerves and Homeostatis

A hormone is a regulatory substance that is produced in an organism. It is transported in tissue fluids such as blood and it stimulates action in cells or tissues.

Nerves are a group of fibres in the body that transmits impulses of sensation to the brain or spinal cord. From the brain and spinal cord, impulses are sent to muscles and organs.

It is when an organism or cell regulates its internal conditions by a system of feedback controls to help maintain health and functioning.
