  • Malth and cereal roughly milled and hot water added
  • Temperature 65c
  • Takes 5 hours
  • Wort rich in dissolved sugars
  • Drained
  • Boiled
  • Hops added

Process

  • Malting of barely to produce maltose
  • Mash Tun stage
  • Wort allowed to drain away
  • Hops added which add flavour
  • Wort filtered + rapidly cooled

Fermentation

  • CO2 produced which carries the yeats to the top of the beer
