  • used for personal systems or netowrks
  • advantages- relatively cheap per megabyte, store large amounts of data, can be set to backup overnight
  • disadvantages- can be quite slow to access data, special equipment neede to record and read data on the tape

  • used for personal data
  • advantages- accessible from anywhere
  • disadvantages- take a long time to download data, takes long to upload data, security issues- need to be confident that your provider has adequate security measures in place, can be expensive

  • disadvantages- things stored in lots of different places, takes longer to restore

  • advantages- everything in one place, quicker and easier to testore
