Plant cells- Cell wall

Cell wall

The cell wall is only in the plant cell, not the animal cell.

The cell wall is the outer layer of the plant cell.

The cell wall helps support the plant and give the plant protection.

Allows C02 and H20 to pass in and out of the cell.

Cell membrane

The cell membrane is in both the animal and plant cell.

The cell membrane is the outer layer of the animal cell and underneath the cell wall in the plant cell.

It controls the movement of materials inside and outside of the cell.

It is the barrier between the environment and the cell

Nucleus

The nucleus is in both the animal and plant cell.

It is a large oval inside the cell.

The nucleus controls everything in the cell.

Cyptoplasm

The cytoplasm is in both the animal and plant cells.

The cytoplasm protects the organelles in the cell.

It is a thick jelly-like substance.

Ribsome

The ribosome is in both the animal and plant cell.

The ribosome protects the proteins in the cell.

Mitochondria

The mitochondria are in both the animal and plant cell.

The mitochondria break down the sugar in the cell to make it into energy.

Plant cells- Vacuole

The vacuole is a fluid filled sack which breaks down larger food molecules into smaller ones so it's easier for the cell to digest it.
