Oscar romero- lived in el salvador (born 1917)

ordained priest in 1942

much crime and corruption in his country, rich corrupting the poor, yet he didn't speak out.

his close friend was killed, he spoke out about injustices and he criticised the government

killed by government forces in his cathedral 24th march 1980

Prophet Muhammad- born 570 CE

many corrupt practises in Makkah

became a member of group to protect safety and rights of strangers.

called AL-Amin 'The trustoworthy one'

showed great respect for women and spoke out about infanticide. 

many muslims try to follow his example

Christian- seek guidance from the bible

jesus taught forgiveness

some punishment may be seen as justice and a loving act, helping someone learn from mistakes

belive that god will punish wrong-doers

treat all people with love

Islam- seek guidance from qu'uran

forgiveness and reconcilliation is important

punishment stops people doing it again 

murder and openly attacking/threatening a muslim way of life, having previously being muslim deserves death sentence

Agree- relate to another time 

depends on people's views

should rely on own conscience

people nowadays have issues not mentioned in bible

different books all saying differnet things 

Disagree- word of god

sacred text and guidelines for life

reinforce values and beliefs of the religion 

people swear upon these books in court of laws
