ATP

?

The Roles of ATP

Active Transport - To allow molecules to move aganist the concentration gradient

Metabollic Processes - To synthesise large complex molecules from smaller ones, e.g. protein and DNA synthesis

Movement - Muscle contraction

Nerve Transmission - Sodium-potassium pumps actively transport sodium and potassium ions across the axon membrane

Secretion - The packaging and transport of secretory products into vesicles in cells
