Lorenzo- is of low status

Porphyro- Brave/high social status

Lycius- intelligent/attractive/we first see him in a chariot race/ goes to church- devout

Knight- chivarlous status

'Isabella...'- The 2 brothers

'Lamia'- Apollonius

'La Belle Dame...'- The knight's inability to control himself

'St Agnes...'- Angela (the beldame)- allows Porphyro to sneak into Madelines rooms
