KEY CONCEPTS

Kinship: refers to ties through blood, marriage and adoption. (Have been cases where people who are not kin being regarded as family)

Family: group of people who have been united by blood,marriage or adoption. Usually forms within a single household.

Key trends: usually bound by legal,moral and economic rights and duties towards each other. Also have emotional ties + perform particular roles in line with social norms e.g husband,wife,son,daughter)

Households: doesn't need to contain related ppl, can be a group of people who share residence.
