AVATAR: SYNOPSIS:  paraplegic ex-marine finds a new life on the distant planet of Pandora, only to find himself battling humankind alongside the planet's indigenous Na'vi race in this ambitious digital 3D sci-fi.

GENRE: Action| Adventure|Fantasy|Sci-fi

TARGET AUDIENCE: the different genres in the fim helped make the film appealing to a wide range of people. aimed at young audiences particulary the ages of 15-29 because its modern, thrilling there's also a video game feel. it however appealed to a mainstream audience. 

MAIN ACTORS: Sam Worthington - also in another action sci-fi called ''Terminator Salavation'' // Zoe Saldana - Also in another action sci-fi series ''star trek''

AWARDS: nominated for nine oscars including best picture and best director. it won awards for art direction, cinematography and Visual effects. Eight BAFTAS: best film and best director. only won: production design and visual effects.

DIRECTOR: james cameron, well known for his other projects: Titanic, Terminator and Aliens.

BUDGET: 237,000,000. but exceeded to gross more than that. became the highest grossing fim of all time.

** at the 2009 san diego comic con, 25 mintues of the film was screened in 3D. James Cameron announced that there wil be an Avatar day where the trailer will be released. "August 21st''

they also premiered more traiers in cinemas, and on yahoo.com all recieving postive reviews. The Coca-Cola Company collaborated with Twentieth Century Fox to launch a worldwide marketing campaign to promote the film. The highlight of the campaign was the website AVTR.com. Specially marked bottles and cans of Coca-Cola Zero, when held in front of a webcam, enabled users to interact with the website's 3-D features using augmented reality (AR) technology.[132]

The film was heavily promoted in an episode of the Fox Network series Bones in the episode "The Gamer In The Grease" (Season 5, Episode 9). Avatar star Joel David Moore has a recurring role on the program, and is seen in the episode anxiously awaiting the release of the film.[A week prior to American release, Zoe Saldana promoted the film on Adult Swim when she was interviewed by an animated Space Ghost
