Stock control- used to know how much each item is in stock, when orders are due and how much stock is required on certain days.

Booking systems- system which allows user to book certain things: rail card, holidays, and cinemas.

Online training systems- system of learning using the help of a computer. Lessons are conducted at a computer terminal. Usually without a tutor, but can be coupled with book learning.

Timetabling and route finding systems- user to enter starting point and destination to a journey.

Customer records system- companies which need to keep customers record and their finances.

Online banking systems- customers to access their bank accounts and carry out transactions using internet
