China's one child policy

Benefits of the one child policy-

Economically better off. There are less children to provide for.

What is it?

The one child policy is a government policy which praises parents who only have one child. If a mother is found to be having a second baby they will be made to have an abortion.

What problems have arised?

More farm workers are needed because of a lack of children there will be even less workers in the future but a smaller population to provide for.

Why was it introduced?

How was it enforced?

Fines. Torture. Intrauterine devices.
