Cytoplasm: is a liquid gel in which most of the chemical reactions for life take place. One of the most important is respiration.
Nucleus: controls all the activities of the cell. It also contains the instructions for making new cells or new organisms.
Mitochondria: structures the cytoplasm where oxygen is used and most energy is released during respiration.
