Health Care Servies

As the population ages, there will be an increase in degenerative diseases such as cancer, heart diseases and Alzheimer's.

The annual cost of Dementia Care is predicted to double within the next 20 years to £47 billion.

Accommodation

Many older people have specific housing needs such as homes without stairs and wider door ways for wheelchair access.

Pensions.

As they age, it places a strain on the economy as elderly people will still be takingout their pensions, for at least 15-20 years after they retire.

This also means that they age, so the population in the working section decrease. So less workers will be paying higher taxes so elderly people can have their pensions.
