He's an upper-class businessman. He's about 30 and is engaged to Shelia Birling.

She's the Birling's maid. She doesn't say much. She lets the Inspector in. She's the only working class person on the stage.

Is a strange person becasue he might not be an actual inspector. He questions the Birling's about the death of Eva Smith.

The girl who is suspected dead but we never see her. She might be other girls. She might not be dead.
