 -Roads bieng built through forest

BEEF PRODUCTION

-Large areas being cleared by cattle ranchers

IRON ORE MINING

-At Carajas a large area of land has been cleared

FLOODING

-Tucurai Dam has been built and has flooded large area of forest

TIMBER/MAHOGANY

-Logging companies cut down trees

LEACHING- Heavy rain > Loss of nutrients

-Areas cleared by loggers and charcoal burners are being exposed

SOIL EROSION

-Increase in OVERLAND flow 

TUCURAI DAM FLOODED

-Animals die
-Trees rot in lakes -> mosquitoes -MALARIA

-Rivers poisoned by chemicals > fishes are UNFIT to eat > DEATH
