To factorise an equation, such as this one: X sqaured + 12x + 36: we need to find out what numbers go into both 12 and 36. In this case, we know that 6 goes into both numbers. If you really want to be challanging, trying adding a =0 onto the end
We then put the equation into brackets like so:
(x+6)(x+6).
(x+6)(x+6)=0
X sqaured +12x+36=0
12x=-36
x=-3
