Conjunctions are words that link sentences, phrases and clauses together.

Example: And, But, Because etc...

Prepositions shows relation in terms of time or place.

Example : In, At, By, On

The job of an adjective is to add further details, or descriptions of a noun.

Example : "A spooky house"

                     adj      noun

They can also be used as a superlative - "The second house was much more spookier!"

The role of an adverb is to add decription to a verb.

Example : "The quicker he ran, the faster the person who was following him got"

                       adverb      verb

They can also be superlative - quickest
