Scene 1

  • Theseus and Hippolyta talk about their upcoming wedding.
  • Egeus gets Theseus' help to make Hermia marry Demetrius, or die.
    • Theseus feels pitty for Hermia, and gives her another option, which is to become a nun.
  • Lysander and Hermia plan to leave Athens and elope, and tell Helena about their plan.
  • Helena desides to tell Demetrius about Hermia and Lysander's plan, thingking that Demetreus would love her afterwords.

  • The machanicals plan on where they are going to reherse the play for Theseus' wedding, and Quince hands out the scrypst to the workers.
    • Bottom want's to play all of the parts, but is told to only play Pyramus.
