Ban on private trade removed- food & goods could flow more easily between the
countryside & towns
Small business opened- allowed to make profit
85% firms in private hands
Economy improved
Corruption & bribery was rife
Nepmen- 75% of all trade done by them
State kept control of large scale heavy industry e.g. coal, steel
Money was back
Rationing abolished
