Preview of neutralisation

First 101 words of the document:

Neutralisation occurs when an alkali and an acid react to
balance out their PH which becomes a PH of 7.
Salt and water are the products of neutralisation
Acid + base (alkali) salt + water
The PH of a mixture of an acid and base is often not 7
however as the mixture of a strong acid with a weak base
will not be as effective and vice versa.
If measured out precisely only then will the PH become 7
however the changing of the PH closer to neutral is still
called neutralisation.
