Measures of central tendency
Used to calculate the average in a set of data and are used to show simple
differences between sets of data.
Mode- most frequent value
Median- middle value when all the items are placed in order from lowest to
Mean- calculated by adding all the values in the data set together and
dividing them by the number of values in that data set
Standard deviation- looks at the variation of all data from the mean. The
larger the standard deviation the larger the variation around the mean.
Useful for comparing 2 sets with similar means.
