Hormones are chemical messengers which travel in the blood to activate target cells
They are produced and secreted by various glands in the body
For example: The pituitary gland produces and secretes FSH and LH, two hormones vital for the
menstrual cycle. Also, the ovaries produce and secrete oestrogen, another important hormone.
Hormones and nerves can sometimes be mixed up. However, it's important you learn these
