Just some notes on gravity, mass and weight - either for p2 or p3, not sure which; it's been a few months since i actually did the exams.

GRAVITY
GRAVITY ATTRACTS ALL OBJECTS WITH A MASS. THIS INCLUDES PLANETS AND STARS.
GRAVITY ON EARTH IS ABOUT 9.81M/S2 AND 1.6M/S2 ON THE MOON.
Gravity makes all objects accelerate towards the ground at 9.81m/s2. Gravity also gives all
objects a weight. It keeps planets, moons and satellites in orbits.
WEIGHTANDMASS
MASS IS THE AMOUNT OF `STUFF' IN AN OBJECT.
ALL OVER THE UNIVERSE AN OBJECT, SAY A BOOK WILL HAVE THE SAME MASS.
Mass is measured in kg and is not a force. You use scales to calculate mass.
WEIGHT IS WHAT IS CAUSED BY THE PULL OF GRAVITY.
SINCE WEIGHT RELIES ON GRAVITY, IT CHANGES DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU ARE IN THE
UNIVERSE.
Weight is measured in newtons (N), it is measured with a newton meter. WEIGHT =
MASS x
GRAVITY.
So...
i. The gravity on Earth is 9.81m/s2
ii. The gravity on The Moon is 1.6m/s2
III. Gravity makes objects accelerate towards its source e.g. earth.
IV. Mass is the amount of `stuff' in an object.
V. Weight is caused by the gravitational pull.
