Preview of GEOG1 - Rivers - 5 - The Long, Graded and Valley Cross Profiles

First 75 words of the document:

Rhys Wall
Letter Explanation
A Actual profile is under graded profile, meaning that deposition is most likely here since the river will flow
slower as it has less kinetic energy.
B Actual profile is above graded profile, meaning that erosion is the dominant process due to the river having
more kinetic energy.
C Graded profile equals actual profile, meaning that transportation will be the dominant process.
