Forgiveness and reconciliation
Everyone makes sins throughout their life, it is something which takes us away from God. If we
commit a sin we should make amends. If others commit sins, we forgive them.
The bible
Jesus taught that forgiveness is central to the relationships between humans and God
"Forgive us this day our sins, as we forgive the sins of others" Lord's Prayer
"Let those who is without sin cast the first stone" John8:7 Jesus says to a crowd that everyone has
sins and we should not judge others but look at ourselves.
"Do not judge for you will be judged" Jesus in Matthew 7 if we want to be forgiven by god we should
forgive others.
"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him" Luke 17
Jesus died on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven
"Love does not keep a record of wrongs" Corinthians- Agape love will forgive.
Marriage vows- "for better, for worse" you should forgive people in bad times
He son was forgiven by his father in the story of the prodigal son.
"if we confess our sins...he will forgive our sins and purify us" John's letter
