Experiment with children
Subjects exposed to aggressive models aid to reproduce aggressive acts resembling
those of their models
Imitate behaviour of the same sex models more than the model of the opposite
Boys and girls imitated male model's aggression more than female
Supports SLT because children learn the aggressive behaviour by watching the same sex
model; SLT states that learning occurs through the observation of other models which may
lead to imitation if the behaviour leas to desirable consequences
Evaluate the methodology of the study
Lacks ecological validity
This does not mean the explanation is limited because it does show that children pick up
aggressive behaviour. Therefore it does not reduce SLT credibility because it still supports
the SLT
