Blackpool, the biggest tourist attraction in the U.K is home to attracting over 20 million visitors each
year and hosting huge events such as the Royal Variety Show.
Blackpool is an exciting, spectacular and entertaining resort for all families as there are many
attractions by day and by night. I highly recommend going to Blackpool Pleasure Beach as I went
last summer and it was great. There are rides there ranging from the little youngster rides all the way
to those seeking a thrill of their lifetime by riding the Big One. Do you dare ride it?
Further down the promenade is the world famous Blackpool Tower. Standing 518 feet tall it is one of

Tusards to pose with figures such as the nations new sweat heart Cheryl Cole or the well known
funny presenters Ant and Dec.
At night see Blackpool come to life with its bright lights and illuminations which are shown during

John Shaw, Head of the Blackpool Tourist Board said "Blackpool attracts so many visitors each year
because it is so unique, there are very few places like Blackpool in the U.K as there is something for
everyone. If I could sum up Blackpool in one word it would be exceptional." Blackpool has good
transport links. It has an international airport in the centre of Blackpool and great transport services
such as the famous Blackpool trams.
