Correlational statistical tests ­ tests of association
Non-parametric test of association is a Spearman's rho test
For use with ordinal data
Data should be in related pairs
N = the number of pairs of scores
Rho is significant if it is equal to or greater than the critical table value
Parametric test of association is a Pearson's Moment test
For use with interval data
Data should be in related pairs
Df = the number of pairs of scores ­ 2
R is significant if it is equal to or greater than the critical table value
