SELECT COMMITTEES

Made from a minimum of 11 members who decide on a line of inquiry and provide oral and written evidence
STANDING COMMITTEES
They consider proposed legislation and they represent the Parliament as a whole so the Government always has a majority.
JOINT COMMITTEES
They are made up of Lords and MPs on issues such as Human Rights
