CLIMATIC HAZARDS
Climatic Hazards:
Severe variations from average climatic conditions which cause PROBLEMS for people living
in the affected areas. Ultimately, they are short term weather conditions. Types: Strong
winds, heavy precipitation and drought.
STRONG WIND
Severe gales, tropical revolving storms (including hurricanes) and tornadoes are all products
of intense pressure gradients.
