You can't be a Christian if you don't believe in the Trinity

Advantages

  • Nicene Creed states belief
  • Catechism teaches central
  • Churches must believe in trinity to be on council

Disadvantages

  • Jesus - most important love God & Neighbor
  • Mormons Unitarians do not believe
  • Jesus taught action more important than belief

Evaluation

Catholics would agree with this statement as the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches belief in the trinity is central to Christianity. Also, the Nicene Creed (A statement of Christian beliefs) states belief in the trinity. There is evidence that this is an accepted view as all Churches are required to believe in the Trinity to be on the World Council of Churches. People may argue against this as Jesus taught that action is more important than belief and the most important thing is to love God and you neighbor. Mormon and Unitarian Christians do not believe in the Trinity.
