Weimar Republic, stregnths and weaknesses.

Advantages

the bill of rights guarenteed everyone freedom of speech, religion and equality.
all men and women over the age of 20 could vote
elected president + reichstag
reichstag made the laws.

Disadvantages

proportional representation- percentage of votes = percentage of seats in the reichstag.
article 48- in the case of emergency's the president could make descions but it did not state what an emergency was so the president could hold power.

Evaluation

overall the weimar republic was very weak because it did not have a strong stable government making descions instead it had small extremeist partys taking up space in the reichstag with no real judgement being made.
